Thinking about selling my 5 ASE to buy a 1916D dime, not sure if that's a wise investment or not

That would depend on the dime. I would think it would be a good deal as long as the dime was genuine.

If you're talking about the 25th Anniversary set, I'd expect a bit nicer condition '16-D (e.g. G4) with what the sets are going for right now. For 5 regular ASE, I'd take any genuine '16-D, assuming it's authenticated by one of the major TPGs.

ill put some pics of what I have, 1 proof and 4 regular date ASE some have toning on them, I'm not sure what they are worth

I think you are going to need more than 5 ASE's for the 16-D.

I also thought you were selling the 25th Anniversary set!
You may get half of the 16-D in lower grade, just make sure is from 1 of the 3 TPG.

no its not a anniversary set, just some regular ASE I wanna sell to buy a 1916d dime, ill probably need 10 to buy a low grade coin but I have about 6 Morgan $1 but I'm not sure if its wise to sell all those coins for one dime
