It seems a number of coin sites are now selling past issue 5oz coins for "melt plus" pricing. Have seen them as low as $180 per. Just an FYI.

I think you are seeing the end of the bull market on precious metals. There is no numismatic value to these items.

Or could it be that there is no numismatic value on these coins, so they will only bring melt. The logic works both ways. Just because a coin doesn't sell at a premium to melt doesn't mean the bears are coming out of the woods. :-) Just might mean it is a coin no one wants.

They don't say which version it is, but I would guess bullion grade

I recently purchased the 5 coins from 2010 and have also noticed the slow price decline on the bullion grade coins. I am trying to look on the bright side in that when I raise enough cash to start getting the 2011's I will hopefully save more money.

I haven't paid over $178 for one yet. In my area they are going for spot + $3/oz. or $4/oz. I've been trying to put a set together buying them this way.

Granite: Did you get the slabbed set from APMEX for $1095 that I posted on your thread in the buy forum?

These are bullion pieces from a bullion program. I think prices are finally where they SHOULD be.

RPT: No, I purchased the 5 2010 ATB coins from a CCF member about 2 1/2 weeks ago. That was before I saw the APMEX sale.
