1827, one of the very few 'nice' Capped Bust Halves I own: Overton- ? ? ? Anyone know? After seeing all the amazing postings here, I am getting more and more curious about the numerous varieties of this type. Any sort of comprehensive collection would be way out of my reach, but it would be interesting to know where the ones I have fit into the known realm.

Here are my 1827's 7 over 6 O-101 R2 O-112 R3 Sq Base - O ? O-135 R3 I wanted this one to look good so I ran my belt sander over it a few times

I have one 1829 but don't know the Overton number. It bothers me a bit that the reverse rims are so weak but that I suppose could be characteristic of the variety (whatever it is). I suspect this coin is cleaned and retoned but can't quite decide whether it is a "problem" coin....
