Have a read through the Supplies subforum for more topics about coin and note storage options, though some of the answers may better apply to America rather than here.

Personally, for my best notes, I use "Hagner-style" album pages much like apcgs mentions. Relatively safe and secure, the main drawback being you can only see one side of the note. For modern coins, I use 2x2s - either staple or self-adhesive, I have stocks of both which I use - which then get put into photographic slide album pages, then into archival folders.

Whatever you do, do not put paper money, stamps, or photos (or any other paper)in "magnetic" photo albums. They're nothing but codbod with stripes of sticky wax to keep stuff from moving.

The wax will break down and leave oil on the paper, and the stickiness can cause ink to tear off the notes, or even tear the note itself on removal.

I dunno if perspex yellows or becomes brittle. Mylar, even in thin sheets, would be better.

Hot glue can outgas, and if it's airtite, I can see it breaking the perspex trying to open it to remove the notes.

By "sheet" I mean paper thin. Even that will stop water, gasoline, and within limits, fire. Used to be a place called the2buds (my2buds?) in MI that handled all kinds of holders for coins, paper, comics, postcards, etc.
