Provident does in fact stand behind their coins. I had a civil war coin I returned to them that had some gunk on it and they sent me a beauty. Also been very happy ordering from them.
But I agree with Bizzy the only version of this making it all the way through is probably a bullion. Unfortunately thats also the one that could one day be selling for 30 or 40 dollars

yea they should never had made 2 versions of this coin unless the mint version would have been a proof a mintmark isn't worth the extra money in my opinion

Nice coin, clair. When the Mint does something right, as they do with the vapor blasted finish, the resulting coin can be truly sensational. Latest mint sales report (6/11) off of Coin Update shows 8,957 sold, last bullion report from Coinnews.net (6/08) shows 6,900 of the same design ordered by the APs. $50 less and trending 2,000 coins below the uncirculated, the bullion coins are an unmistakable steal right now. Still have yet to order my uncirculated. Will wait until for the S roll quarters on the 21st, and also the SF ASE set.

I finally broke down and purchased the Chickasaw National Recreation Area 5oz. coin. The next coin is going to be the El Yunque coin. By far, this is my favorite coin of the series so far.
I just put the Chacco Canyon set into my album tonight and was admiring the silver set and am trying to picture the coins for both the Acadia and Hawaiian Volcanoes coins would look like in 5oz of silver. They could give El Yunque a run for its money in that size.

I just took a look at the proposals for the 2013 quarters and they somehow don't look as inspiring as the 2012's as a whole. About the only coin that looks good is the one for the Great Basin coin that is representating the state of Nevada.

Even with past coins its seems on a good number of them they never go with the best design but most of them are still very good. The 2014s I saw a while back I think had some REALLY good proposals but unfortunately will probably be just the bullion versions by then

Could have done better than that for sure. For the White Mountain I like 3 or 2 and hate 4. The Ohio ones are all bad but if I had to pick Id say 1. Great Basin could have been better too but 3 isn't bad. 2 is ok. Fort McHenry 2 or 3. Rushmore 1.
For the most part they should go back to the drawing board though, specially for Ohio.

Bizy - what is mint bloom? (just trying to learn here) Barry and Clair - thanks for the pictures. Just got back from vacation last week and this is my first time on the board in the last 3 weeks, just trying to catch up on what has been going on. I have ordered 2 of the collector version pucks, 1 SF ASE set (so far,we will see what the numbers look like towards the end) and picked up one silver proof set. Now after reading all of these posts I feel inclined to buy one of the bullion pucks. When will this silver madness ever stop? LOL

I couldn't wait so I just ordered one of the new pucks from Provident. It was $159.95 plus 8.95 shipping, really kind of hard to beat after how much I was paying for these things before. I think this is one of the better if not the best designs yet, can't wait to see for myself.

Just wondering how pmt is made with Provident? Do you have to wire and have it there within the day? Thanks! That's why I shy away from the online places. Can't get to the bank and costs for a wire

Can't get to the bank and costs for a wire For provident you can wire it or send them a check, doesn't have to be same day. Thats only if you want the cheaper cash discount price. You can use credit cards as well but they charge a little extra for the credit card fee which I think is 3 percent

Angel - I just sent them a personal check about 30 minutes ago. I can wait a few days to see the coin, don't need it right away, I have the rest of my life to look at it. I sure hope I can look at it for a long time to come....LOL.
