So my friend gave me a Canadian Quarter a while ago and its a 1956 quarter. Is it worth much?

It has about $4.80 worth of silver in it. Without knowing its condition, that is about all I can tell you!

If it is circulated condition, that is about what it is worth.

depends on what grade it is in... or its just worth silver but

Sorry about that! I will try to get a picture up as soon as possible but I have been busy studying for finals. This site has been my break lol. Also, the coin looks highly circulated and on the back of the coin part of the word Canada is missing from wear it seems

It's worth more than 25-cents. If as you indicate there is significant wear (a good part of Canada is worn away) at today's melt value for silver it's worth about $4.75.
