Are those coins going to be dated as 2011 or 2012? As I was told, they are going to be in circulation starting Jan 2012, and those circulation coins are going come one by one into the banks. **That's what a RCM representative told me.** Doesn't sound good. Coins in circulation starting from 2012 dated 2011. I was also told that they're going to be shipped out some time in January. I ordered only one and going to buy more in rolls in the bank. How do everyone think that the mint could make money from such a thing?

---as had happened with some of the Vancouver Olympic quarters, date (year) on the coin is not the same as the date they were released into circulation. So yes, the park quarters will (should) be dated "2011" ---every coin that goes into circulation, or even better into coin albums, means profit for the RCM. They make the coin for -- I do not know how much it costs to produce the quarters/coloured quarters -- less the 25 Cent, but they "sell" it to you for 25 Cent. The difference is the profit. The US Mint made some very nice profits with their " State Quarter" Series, even though you could get them for 25 Cents per piece (of course the circulation strikes). They had so much success that they now have the " ATB" quarter series which, I know, is not as successful as the State Quarter series. Still, it brings in much needed profits for the US Mints.

I just noticed this thread. This is a set I really want but unfortunately Americans can't order from the mint. Hope they appear on ebay at a reasonable price.

It is the country's government that decide how much to pay for each circulation coin and it's generally the country that's making profits (Leaving the part of the profit for mint workers).
