Mpc,
Each of your gold coins have been unique and never seen by myself. I'm looking forward to see what else you may have for us to see.

This is my #8, a 1909 peso from the Philippines while under U.S. domination; San Francisco minted; size= 35mm. (I was going to show my 1903 version, first year for these, but it seems to have gone into hiding.. ) And for #7, another gem from s.o.t.b.*; uncirculated peso, Zacatecas mint, typically weakly struck in places. size= 40mm. *(south of the border, i.e. Mexico. ..yes I do love coins from our troubled neighbor.)

1917 Ottawa Sovereign: These have all been only "average" pics by my own personal standards. The same will not be true of the six which follow.

Geeeshh ... man, I'm feelin' a bit the opposite way => I may have already peaked too early! (I got nuthin' but rusty ol' traders remaining in my queue!) => but they've got grit and they've got heart! Hey, maybe I'll "dip em" and try to get 'em all dressed-up for the big show? => hey, hey, hey => I'm just kidding (don't respond negatively => I am not a dipper!) This is fun Man, I can't wait for more coins! ... and especially if they are supposed to be getting even better!

It's probably time to give my little disclosure: I don't number my entries, I cannot choose #1 coin, I cannot pick top twelve. It's almost like choosing favorites of your children. I might be OK narrowing down to top 1000. I could post here a beautiful coin (in my opinion at least) every day for the rest of 2012. With the 12 choices I'm trying to get a somewhat fair (regional) representation. Today I couldn't decide between Ho Ho Brothers and Chinese Unicorn (that's what the animal is in case you're interested in IDing it), so I put them out both as a set (so, disqualify me ). These are circulation coins of newly Chinified Hong Kong. So, Chinese (as opposed to British) Hong Kong, 1 dollar And 2 dollars

Number 6 => 1951 Canadian Low Relief quarter (shiny & minty) The "Low Relief" variety had a larger portrait of the king and slightly different lettering than its "High Relief" brother ... this Low Relief variety is quite rare (and it's got a purdy caribou on it!) 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 1951 Canadian Low Relief quarter 7 - 1980 Canadian quarter - error - on one cent planchet 8 - 1909 Canadian 25 cent piece 9 - 1947 Canadian 50 cent piece Maple Leaf Straight-7 10 - 1911 Canadian 25 cent piece "Godless Coin" 11 - 2004 Canadian Remembrance Day Silver Proof (ooops) 12 - 1936 Dot Canadian 25 cent piece
