1976 Steel Penny? - Coin Community Forum

nestea New Member United States 5 Posts	Posted 01/11/2007 3:22 pm Hi all, I have found a 1976D steel penny. It really stood out among a handful of pocket change. It weighs 3.2g, appears to have a bronze clad (which is worn on lincoln's shoulders and cheeks), the rest of the cladding is a brilliant gold color, and it jumps right to a magnet. I have read about the 1974's (and that a few excaped). any help would be useful, thanks Report this Post to the Staff
