I know this isn't a big deal, but it's kind of a neat bargain. I pull SLQs from my dealer's junk bin because I think they are really cool, especially when I can buy them for melt. Well, they aren't in the junk bin often. They are often dateless, and they are of course common dates.
Today was the first time I stumbled across a Type I in the bin. I scooped it up, and when I got home, I realized that since it had a mintmark I know it's a 1917-D.
