I am not sure where the repair is. Like Fuzzy, I first thought it was the spot under the eagle but now I am not sure.

Looks to have been bent at one time...thats my guess. Also cleaned to death. I would put a value of about $2500-3000 on this one.

The whole thing has been repaired. Jk, but it looks like it.

Yeah something is up, but I can't tell. Maybe it is the lighting or MD, but she seems to have 2 faces and 3 legs.

The only things that look repaired are the obv and rev. All the fields look like they had scratches Polished out.

I'd say the fields have been worked on on both sides with a lot of work having been done to the right obv field. That wavy undulating field is typical for an area where graffiti or heavy scratches have been removed. It may have Fine details but it has been worked on so much and so heavily it probably isn't worth more than AG to Good money. I'd say it is one step up from a dateless piece.

I certainly agree that this piece is very unattractive and I would not be interested in owning it,even for a lot less $, way to ugly and expensive. The first coin I've actually seen as repaired in a slab which I thought was interesting.

I own a dateless one with no problems and I'd rather have it over this one.

This one is "beyond cleaned". It looks more like a primer-ed buff job and they forgot to repaint it. ;-) It is extremely sad that they so utterly destroyed what would be a $7K coin.

I never thought I would use the word ugly to describe an SLQ. Especially a '16. I can't imagine how bad it was before it was "repaired" I think NGC has found a niche slabbing problem coins. ebay is full of them.

the face doesn't look right for a SLQ I'm going to say repaired hole at 12:00 and probably had graffitti removed from the fields or maybe the entire coin

That is one sad looking key date. What a shame.
