1936 Another 1936 1936-S The bands are really nice on that last one, and it's a pretty orange color, but it's hard to find S-mint Mercs with a fully struck periphery, and "ATES OF AME" shows a lot of flattening.

@Captain: Great strike for the obverse of 36 S, great band on the reverse, just misses on some of the lettering. It is still great looking. 1936 P FB 1936 D 1936 S - I can surely used one like what the Captain had in his collection. @52Raymo: I used Canon PowerShot SD1300 IS Digital ELPH to take all my pictures now, experiment a lot and find that lighting is most critical and used only macro 1.5 X zooming, for the coins in Dansco album, the mylar is thick and I have to set the exposure less and try to keep the glare away. The 2 x 2 was easier, as it isn't as thick.

Wow, your Canon does a really good job. Silver is so hard to photograph.

@mac: You're right about the obverse on that '36-S. It's not common to see that much hair detail on any date/mint other than type-of-1916. I like the polish lines on your '36-P, they're common throughout the series and some people don't like them, but I think they add character.
