Thanks Jaobler and Macmercury for posting up the varieties I've never seen before - the 42/1 and 42dd  Here are my 1943 Mercs First a couple of recent inexpensive purchases 1943P   and 1943D   These are from my 50+ year old Whitman 1943   1943D   1943S

Here is my only 1943 Merc. I may re-shoot this as I am not happy how it came out. Will need to readjust my lighting for it.

1943: This is the first Mercury I found from roll searching - I like the color  1943: This is the one in my album. If you look closely, the reverse has a whole network of fine die cracks spiderwebbing out from the center and circling the rim through the lettering.  1943-D:  1943-D: NGC MS 67 FB  It's hard to photograph because the slab is a bit scuffed up, but I found out that the coin had sold at Heritage at some point, and their picture is better:  1943-S:
