I collect $5 notes. In the past I found 2 mismatched serial APE - APF uncirculated.
I was in to buying single note and replacement notes for a while but it tends to get expensive after time.
The real challenge is to get every prefix they make in uncirculated or better. It's fun but not maybe not worth anything down the road.

Here is a sampling of $1 from my collection. I have since added a 1917 $ Princess Patricia note.

I'm guessing people prior to 1935 had bigger wallets!

On average yes, they were large bill folds, either in the large inner pocket of three piece suits or more commonly chained into the rear pockets of a farmer gone to town etc.

I still see some folks with them around here in fact, chain and all.

I apologize ... I am going to merely post the same notes that I've posted in other recent posts (and then I'll try to take some more "photos" => that is my weak-link ... not a shortage of winners, but a shortage of photos of winners) ... I'll work on it (oh, but not tonight, for I am just watching NFL football tonight => it's an awesome game New England vs Baltimore at the momemt and then my favorite NFL team (San Fran 49ers is in the queue to play the NYG)

Ummmm ... perhaps that may merely be blah-blah-blah to some of you, but hopefully words of wisdom to a few of you?

Go 49ers, GOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Anyway => here are the "6" Notes that I posted in "My 12 Favorite Coins" post ... oooops, yes, I was the only dude to post my notes in the coin category (I felt that they needed a "voice", ya know?) ... anyway

The first 3 notes are the wonderful "Triplets"
=> the 1900 and the two 1902 "$4 Dollar Bills":

The fourth bill is the first of the four Canadian $4 notes (my favorite) => the 1882 Marquis of Lorne (sure, he's a bit of a sexually confused dude with a bunch of junk in the trunk, but the super-cool, cowboy-lookin' cash is amazing, yes?!)

Post-Your-Paper-Money-Collections.

The fifth and sixth notes are of the "Georges" V & VI
=> both awesome, rare and probably a couple of my overall favorites (enjoy)

... anyway ... like I said => I'm gonna watch NFL and then maybe tomorrow I'll try to take a few more photos?

=> regardless => it is absolutely awesome flipping-through all of your paper-money posts (thanks!)

=> I never get sick of looking at paper-money!

Go San Fran, Goooo!
