Nice notes everyone. The serial number varieties are new to me. I only collect coins. These notes were framed 25 years ago for me as gift when I was a kid.

Wow, they tried to make every denomination back in those days: 20 cents, 4 dollar in Canada, 2.5 dollars in the U.S.

I knew you would have some beauties steve. Nice notes Bm0ney, I've never seen that yellow $5 before....unless it was white and somebody dropped it in the toilet

Steve, is that the 1935 that you purchased at Torex?

I was bidding on one last year or so.

Black serial number issue, 1979. Yellowish makes them look ugly.
Thanks 10x, I think.

Ikandiggit. Are the mismatched serial numbers easy to find? I am going to start paying more attention to bills.

Where would you get a specimen note?

All of the specimen notes were sold at an auction that was held by the Bank of Canada in 1999.

I have searched through thousands and thousands of notes. They are not at all common to find. Some people just have all the luck

Nothing super special about these notes, but they have all been TPG'd.

BCS - They are a Canadian company, and grade using Canadian Standards.

The PCGS probably grades like they do American notes and ignores how to grade Canadian notes methodically.

My 1975 $50 is my favorite note but I don't have a photo of it!

The 1935 dollar pictured is my second favorite.
