Got these at a LCS in Mtl, I payed 6 for the dollar and 8 for the five.
The 1967 1$ is Gem UNC (at least that what it said when I bought it)
The 5$ is AU, it could have been UNC if it wasn't for the little crease in picture 3, and I got it from a bin where all the bills are 2x face.

I could be mistaken but I think a note could still make UNC with a small "flick"

Yep, an UNC note can have up to three demerits.

CB, tell the members what you think is a 'demerite'?

Could be a small flick, like the one shown on the '79 $5 above. Or, a small crease (no broken paper fibers), Edge bump, soft (rounded) corner.

More information can be found on page xx of the charlton catalogue (Beginning of the book).

Thanks Wireman09
Spoke to one of the dealers at the show and he probably
wrote the book on grading and he informed me that they are
indeed all original and should grade UNC.

I was thrilled at that news

I have one graded by BCS VF-20, they tell me that the $50 is hard to come by in fairly good condition.

Saw a couple at the show but I was not impressed with them.
They were graded lower than yours and some were not even graded that
looked pretty sad.
Either way I need more time to save some money..never give up
