I found lately that pure nickel 5¢ are lot more scarce than last summer, finding one every two weeks. But last week I've got ten rolls from the bank and found 86 pre 1982 nickels. More than 20%, I liked it.

I am over the half way point to the 50 roll goal.
28 rolls of nickels 55-81.
I am buying rolls and finding lots.
Found lots of rolls missing one or two but also found lots of rolls with dimes shoved in..

One roll of junk nickels has the melt value of $3.20. Should I sell them to a local dealer?

If you do sell let us know what you get. The coin hunter mentioned he knew nickel hoarders. The only offers I have had are for trades.
