I just bought this 1946 50 cents and although it isn't the "hoof through 6" variety it isn't the plain variety either. Can someone identify what's up with this coin? Thanks for your help.
It was struck from a die that was in an interim state (die chip plus die crack)before it became the full hoof through 6 (double die chip plus die crack) variety.
