Holy crap ... it is a smorgasbord of cool coins!

Everybody's coins are amazing! ...
Kingz => super-cool Nova Scotia token
jfransch => man, I love the sunrise/sunset coin
svslav => wow, pretty "exotic Vicky"!

Number #8

=> 1871 Canadian 25 cent (multi-coloured Vicky, with a black-eye) ... only "400,000" minted ...

Unfortunately, due to my suspect photography skilz, this photo does not do this coin any justice! (it's an eye-popper)

svslav, that 'Victoria Empress' is one of my favorites also! I was actually planning to post this one up around #5, but since it appears we are 'doubling up' today, here 'tis at # 8. Same year but the national issue rather than the princely state. This coin shows the 'sanitized' young portrait, made to look more 'Indian' with the hairstyle and the native garb so the imperialistic coinage would be more acceptable to the local population. Count me as one collector who thinks this was a GREAT decision. <3 !
1892 British India silver one rupee, size = 30mm:

I wanted to post an Indian Rupee with Queen Victoria as wel, so why not just do it now She is a bit younger on this one though... There is also a strange error on the reverse of this coin. All the Letters & Date appear to have Trail Dies, but someone on the forum with more knowledge said these aren't Trail Dies. Unfortuanetly, otherwise it was the Earliest known / found coin with TD But a very nice coin nonetheless, with some really good memories to me from my travel to India!

#4: 1 Rupee, 1840 - India (not sure which variation, as there are dozens!)

What's 52 years? Of course on those '92 rupees the effigy wasn't really current.

There's a lot of varieties of 1840 EICo rupees, I have a couple, and one of them was lined up for this thread. Now, thanks to you, Kings, I can free the spot for a different coin.

Kingz => that young-Vicky portrait is awesome!

=> too bad Canada wasn't actually Canada back in 1840! ... ummmm, everybody knows that July 1st 1867 was Canada's birthday, right? ... geeesshh, we're a young country, eh?! ... but at least that makes it a bit easier to collect all of our coins!

Not always, it depends on production numbers for a given mint, and several other factors. The value for this coin is a combination of 20 cent coins were only produced for a short time and the RPM (repunched mintmark).
