Jeff, I really like the matting you have with your coin photos they add class to your images unlike my sad out of focus film photos.

My # 7 is a fantastically detailed city-view thaler from Frankfurt, 1868. It's quite impossible to rank these postings. The order is arbitrary; let the coins speak for themselves. That previously posted doubloon is shouting at me: "Howcum you have no gold in your collection?" Maybe one day, after I have blown my savings on all the silver I can afford, I will regret not buying any coins of the pricier metal.

Mysilveryears, The shear variety and quality of the coins you post are awe inspiring. I look forward to each time I see your name as I know I will be treated to something truly special.

Quote: Jeff, I really like the matting you have with your coin photos thanks Dave - just an example of an "auld pharte" with way too much time on his hands it's really all about the coins & not the backgrounds but I enjoy looking at them this way when they're not in hand

Gee, thanks Apollo (or 10xloupe) ... yah, I find it hard enough to concentrate on collecting good ol' Canadian quarters => geeesh, if I was ever to stray from my comfort-zone and try collecting "coins of the world" => well, I would have zero-cash in a matter of minutes! ====> but some of the "dark-side" coins that I'm seeing on this sight, make me wanna switch teams! ........... well, not really => I would never cheat on Vicky (but there is no harm thinkin' about it, right?) ... please don't tell Vicky!

One of the first Seated Liberty coins I owned. I bought this when a kid. The most important thing to me was getting the oldest US coin I could afford. 1855 O

Man, I can't fall asleep tonight, so I might as well post this coin now, rather than lay in bed trying to count sheep and/or trying to count the quarters that I want to upgrade in my collection! Number #6
=> 1864 New Brunswick 20 cent piece (only "150,000" minted)NOTE => this is the second of only two 20 cent pieces minted for New Brunswick (the first was the 1862, which I showed as my Number #12 coin) ... but this coin does "not" have a greasy ol' fingerprint on it!   1 => 2 => 3 => 4 => 5 => 6 => 1864 New Brunswick 20 cent piece ("150,000" minted) 7 => 1894 Canadian 25 cent piece ("220,000" minted), plus 1878 $1 Paper Note 8 => 1871 Canadian 25 cent piece - multi-coloured Vicky ("400,000) minted) 9 => 1870 Canadian 25 cent piece, The 1st Canadian quarter ("900,000" minted) 10 => 1880 & 1881 20 cent pieces, The Newfie Brothers ("30,000" + "60,000" minted) 11 => 1899 Canadian 25 cent piece ("420,000" minted) 12 => 1862 New Brunswick 20 cent piece ("150,000" minted)
