gizmo123 I beg to differ with you about Uncirculated Henry Parkes and Millenium Incused as "nothing great". Finding these coins amongst a mass of "common" coins is a special experience at the end of a hard day at work. A "great" way to add a final spark into your day . That is my opinion anyway. Squire

Two selected from this week's noodling... On top of my usual coin order I purchased $200 of 50¢ coins someone had cashed in at the bank. Only one commemorative (1998 Bass & Flinders) and only one 2001 coat of arms! Someone around here must have a big stash of commemoratives. They didn't keep the nice 1993, the five 1973 or several EF to aUNC early years (almost every year from 1969 to 1981). Wonder how many incused millennium that person may be sitting on without even knowing what they are? Also noticed Armaguard bags are slightly different plastic now; slightly stiffer and "crinklier" (almost feel like cellophane). Still marked "4" for recycling. They tear rapidly (almost spilled a few 'til I realised to be gentle) and leap enthusiastically from my MPB (static charge). Jeff PS. Offers accepted for the ram's head. It has had a hard life.

Jeff I have also noticed armaguard have changed their plastic the last fortnight. It is much easier to rip. I like it.

I ended up opening the last of my armaguard bags I had lying around, I did a huge tidy up on coins as I am now into the stages of streamlining my collection.
So if you in sale there are a but-load of shiny Australia day 50c in circulation and 2011 and 2010 COA.

Yes there are some hard ones to find. I have most of the variations but for the bubble, the rotated and the incused. Can't seem to find them in Perth

Well enworb, two incused in the one bag is really an inspiration. Congrats, and make the most of your "lucky streak" ! I have 8 Armaguard rolls of 50 cents and a few rolls of 1 dollar coins to look through this weekend. I wonder what Mr Armaguard and Ms Chubb have hidden away in these rolls Will post anything noteworthy on this topic ! Squire

Quote: We havent had a noodle frenzy for a while Good idea Didn't find much in my lot today. No incuseds, rotateds, RAM's in $400 of 50 cents, and just the one state coin - Norfolk Island- in $100 of 20c. Found a Bradman in the Coles self checkout this evening, though Also had these in the coin machine bags: a new reverse 1990 Kiwi 20c, a French Polynesia 20 franc of 2008, and a Fiji 50c of 1976. The CBA coin machines let these through Must be within their parameters, I guess.

A noodle frenzy? That sounds like a good idea ;-) ...I have been spending the last two months trying to find a new job and (much more enjoyable) learning how to use my metal detector. These two hobbies do not join - coins in the soil are munted / destroyed. unless the coin is really old and rare there is no profit in it. It is a special skill to learn and I am starting to get the hang of it. ...at least I am quicker at digging up the ring pulls / bottle tops. I will be back :-)

Quote: I beg to differ with you about Uncirculated Henry Parkes and Millenium Incused as "nothing great". I totally agree Don't take the Parkes for granted - I got a B mintmark coin in a $500 coin machine bag this morning First non standard dollar I've ever found.
