Wonder why I didn't stumble upon this thread years ago. :-)
My major collections are as follows:
1) Coins, counterfeits, and some bank notes. (Duh. :-) ) 2) Antique pocket watch movements (and some clocks) to restore (oih82w8, jprine, streg2, listen up! :-) ). 3) Family artifacts (old family photos, keepsakes, etc.; there is some overlap with the previous two categories). 4) Wild edible mushrooms. -- However this collection tends to be constantly eaten and refreshed when in season... :-)

*blows thick layer of dust off this thread*
Over the years I've collected...
rocks Fire King glassware stamps glass pop bottles books old radios and a table top tv
Most of the things I've collected aren't worth big $$$ but I've enjoyed collecting them.

Wow, what a great thread Where to begin.......as my name suggests, I'm a long time volunteer firefighter. Senior captain and training officer, so antique firefighting equipment is only natural. And more firefighting..... And more firefighting And yet more firefighting Of course coins have been my main collection for years, but like lots of other fellow coin collectors....... And....... And a few more........ Plus a few........ I also have a few boxes of hockey cards that I've hung on to for years, just have a hard time letting them go. I'm the kind of collector that like to go for things that have a chance of holding their value. Fun to seek out, and plus when my day comes, it is a good way to transfer wealth to the kids tax free. I have lots of each of the above and more, but I'll save the good stuff for another thread or post. Best part is everything is watched over by a 95 pound boxer that is super friendly......if he knows you. If not......well.....another that's a story for another thread lol. Keep up the great posts, been some awesome reading to know what everyone likes!

Wow, last time I posted in this thread was almost a couple years ago. Yes, I still am collecting car brochures. I have a huge collection of brochures from 1946-2014 and have been getting more from pre-World War II. Here's some I laid out comparing how Chryslers have changed from 1924-1942. Also here's some Chrysler Imperial Limousine brochures. 1936, 1938, 1940 & 1941. They're worth quite a bit. It's not just Chrysler brochures I collect, all marques are in my collection.

OK. Cars, pretty much Studebakers and vintage Land Rovers, including the 1964 Cruiser built for Stidebaker President Byers Burlingame and an exceptionally rare 1966 Daytona Sports Sedan (one of about 30 survivors known) . Recently the early us space program has captured my imagination resulting in my adopting the "Flight Controller" look. and picking up a few period items such as original 1958 American Optical Flight Goggles. and a very nice NASA contractor helmet from the Apollo era

ambro51 I love seeing your "Flight Controller" display. I use to dress just like that as a draftsman in the aerospace field in the late 60's. Didn't keep any of those pocket protectors though.

A bit of 'cross pollination' here with an Australian phonecard circa 1995 advertising the ' Perth Mint'.!!
