I have found a mismatch serial number on a $10 bill... Thought I would never find one....

Would like to know what you guys think it would be worth?.. Where the best place to sell it would be... and how can I make it straight...? Thanks Charmen

Try your MACRO (looks like a flower) setting on your camera. Press it between some heavy books for a LONG time, but don't try to iron it!

Just leave the note how it is. "Pressing" a note will lower the value.

In Uncirculated condition these notes have a book value of $500. I am assuming your note is in F condition, based on the amount of wear I can see from that picture. Which would make it worth 25% of the $500, which is $125.

If you put this note on ebay, I think you would get more than the $125. My estimate would be $150-$225 just because they are not offered for sale on ebay very often. The price could be higher or lower based on the condition of the note, I was only guessing based on the small portion of the note I could see.

Wow, I did not think that it would, but who am I to argue? My apologies for my novice advice.

, dealndeal!

Scans work well for paper money, and the lid will keep it flat enough to eliminate distortion.

a few years ago, an Australian $10 note, with mis-matched numbers, but well-circulated, fetched about $8,000 at auction. I've been very careful about inspecting my notes ever since.

Nice find! I have a number of mismatched notes. The $10 ones seem to be scarcer than the $20 errors.
