The market has definitely softened on this coin. Recent auction site sales are in the low 90's now and one ended yesterday at $85.

Still 2.5 times issue but trending downward as the interest in Titanic wanes.

Just talked to mint rep on phone she told me there were major delays in production and shipping of the new coins we have all been waiting for which include titanic 50 cent,
grosbeak, both bee coins and dino coin. Very disappointed at the way they are running there business affairs.

Any update on the mintage of this individually packed Titanic? 5k or 15k?

Elks, does that mean we can expect a further delays from the mint on these coins?

I received my Titanic 50 cent on Monday, but the Grosbeak is showing as shipping tomorrow with the GB and Dino set for 05/25 and the painted Aster on 06/04. Are those dates going to hold?

On the mintage...all three of mine are numbered over 10k. I'm still leaning towards the CP collector sets being numbered 1-10,000 and the clam shells being 10,001-15,000. That is, until someone posts to say they have a clam shell COA less than 10,001.

Thanks, CC-Ottawa. I'm waiting for mine from Downies. I was billed 10 days ago and don't know when to expect it to arrive. Have you heard from them, elk?

I suppose the mint wants to ship out the Stampede and the Olympic coins soon. Hopefully this doesn't mean the others have to wait.

Was told it could be up to a month wait now everything is backordered. Titanic is 5000 coins has not changed. As for Downies I think my Titanic coins have been shipped out but they are closed until Sunday night so I cannot confirm but in the weekly newsletter from them my bonus points have risen and that is the only order I have with them right now so they must have been sent it usually takes a week or two to arrive after they are mailed

I ordered after you and got my five from Downies 10 days ago, here in Calif.

At least you got a great presale price. How many of your presale buyers backed out?

My order at Downies shipped out on May 10th, too. Arrived Vancouver on May 14th and cleared the customs on the next day. Now it has been with CP for a week. :(

I got lucky and all customers were happy to wait for them, now I just have to wait for my order from the mint to arrive.

Just talked to the Mint. No more shipment of these for at least 2-5 weeks. Major production problems with "colored coins", whatever that means. She couldn't give me an approximate date.

^^ Serious? I'm going to give them a call. I was just at a local CP outlet and they had a Sugar Maple/Grosbeak. I should cancel and just pick it up from them.
Rest in Peace

Did anyone get any kind of confirmation as to the exact mintage of the 50 cents coin? Is it 15,000 or 25,000? The Mint website says 15,000 total minted but I was told by one Mint staffer that there were a total of 25,000 (including 10,000 in Canada Post sets).

I sent an official written request for a confirmation but no reply after 10 days. Told them if it is 25,000, their website is misleading and asked them what they would do about it.

Was not really expecting an answer taking into consideration the way they are treating their customers.

I'm curious too. My package from Downies is still not here yet. Don't know what's going on. :(
