Hey guys want to get your opinion of this coin.....it's one of the Key dates I'm missing in my morgan set.....it's in an old anacs holder. I am considering making this guy an offer on it.....he sells on ebay, he also has a shop around 30 minutes from me. What are your opinions of grade and a reasonable price to pay. This date seems to go a bit less than some of the other keys....from what I've seen. I'm considering bundling this with an 1893-O and an 1895-O that he has in similar grades. That will put me down to the 1893-S

I have an NGC VF30 with a bit more detail but not much. I would think a price in the CDN bid range for a key coin is reasonable. nlp

Yeah this one is in an old white anacs slab as a VF 35 in which I thought was slightly generous.....maybe not.....his asking price is 1159. I haven't seen the coin in hand, may venture a trip to his shop. He also has many redfield holders and non CC GSA's. It's not a guy I want to visit often as my bank account struggles to recuperate after seeing him.

IMO it's close to a classic VF30. That means just under an $1100 coin at Heritage - consistent across grading services, for once - so $1159 at retail ain't bad. Expect some concession to your wallet if you're going to the extent of bundling with '93-O and '95-O - not over $1700 total assuming they're all decent VF30's like this one, and preferably less than that.

His asking price on the 3 is 1900.....which is the price without any negotiations.....they are all slabbed anacs vf 35....I'm thinking about making an offer around 1500 and see his reaction.....can't hurt
