went through my 2nd batch of $500 quickly tonight at least a third to half of the coins are unc and from quick glance I found one proof 1977 , very few 1976 in this batch although majority are 1972 just checked mintage and see that 1972 is most produced other then 1976 .. I would think for sure I have at least one in here that is a type 2 although will start checking wed when I am off work .. I really was feeling a few morgans and Peace dollars although not in the cards this time they were all Ikes.. next time I will tell them I want the bag to be filled with Peace dollars instead :)

Could you imagine if there were bags of morgans or peace or even barbers back in some corner of a vault somewhere?

How come none of us works for Brinks, Looomis, Garda, yet?

Man if you worked there, in the right department, you could have your pick!

Looks damaged?

My bag for this week didn't come Tuesday, Loomis messed up, but the teller said they'll be there along with my 2 boxes of halves tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

Yeah, it doesn't look like a railroad rim, or a partial die collar strike, which is obvious because the reeding and the edge of the coin will be level, this looks like the area missing reeding is more recessed than the area not missing reeding, if that makes sense.

Here's to finding a few rolls of morgans, trades, peace, heck even 40% ikes are cool with me. :)

On a different forum I heard of a fellow who had been able to score some Ikes, and I sent him a private message asking if he wouldn't mind telling me the name of the bank where got the coins. Well it turned out that he received the coins from a bank where I had an account (different states). So I went to the bank we had in common and asked if I could order some Ikes through them.

Got shot down. So I'm going to be going there again as ask about them again. I don't want to be a pain, but I do want some Ikes. They are getting scarcer than hen's teeth in my little part of the world.

When I went to my box bank to order halves, I did have an account there. I marched into the manager's office and said, "I want 3 boxes of half dollars a week, I'm tired of being given the run around by banks, and if you don't do it, I'm taking my money elsewhere."

They did it, and have been doing it ever since.

Bag of ikes done. Set aside 161 coins to look at later... amongst them, 2 FEV's, 4 '72 T2, 5 '76 T1, 2 proofs, 2 F-VF coins, a holed coin, and... a 4% or so clipped planchet! The clipped planchet is probably a $100 coin or so, not really sure what they're worth.

This is the best I'll give you (of the clipped ike) for now, I'm feeling lazy. No Ike order this week, they will be there again next Thursday, apparently. I need to drop by the other location and get them to order me another bag again...

I will post some pictures tomorrow of some of the better ikes out of my bags , so from my understanding the 1972 type 2 are only on the philly mint and the fev variety is only on the 1971 Denver mint is that correct ? I am gonna start looking for errors tomorrow , anything else major I should be looking for other then the 1976 type 1 and 2
