Yeah YV alot of tellers dont understand, they think their orders come from the fed, which I guess to an extent they do, but their coins are NEVER fed rolled. Business strike coins like the 2012 come in canvas bags then brinks, garda cut open and roll.

My one teller said brinks told her directly they dont have IKEs. So no luck for me from that bank. We dont have loomis in my town either. I will try a garda bank next when I think about it. Good luck to everyone else in getting them.

The banks in my area are both Brinks and Garda, Garda is the one where the driver has complained about the halves. Oh well, maybe I need to see if there are any Loomis banks in the towns south, lots of old people there so I would think there would be a good chanced of silver being dropped to tellers......

Dropped by a bank today, they'll have another bag of Ikes for me Tuesday. Might not be able to get it until Thursday, we'll see how my week works out. Tuesday is already booked with wedding prep and stuff, ugh.

My Bank called me today and my ikes and halves are both here , 1000 of each :) will pick up tomorrow morning on way to work and will report all the Peace dollars and morgans I have in place of the ikes .. haha one can wish..

stoked to have a chance to search through some ikes guess they are bagged in $500 each vs the 1000 bags not sure why , wish I could get more halves although I only order 2 boxes a month as this is the only bank around that orders them for me and I dont want to rock the boat so I am happy with my 2 boxes a month

hopefully I will be able to increase as time goes on(like adding the ikes ).. one other bank I have account at only would order me one thousnad one time and then said they cant do it anymore .. and my business bank told me they order coins for the whole year at once so I am pretty much stuck with one bank to order and one bank to dump ...

in the mean time I picked up 6 really ugly ikes today . teller said you dont want these there thrashed I said I will take em looking as she held them up thought could be 40& as looked like they were although all clad
any other known errors on ikes to look for other then 1972 islands and 1976 differnet types Thanks and happy hunting all

Not cool to leave us hanging like that, Maujay. Looks like a quality bag with lots of UNC coins.

Great thread, guys! I'm into Ikes, too. Am I to understand that some banks WILL order bags or boxes of Ikes?

I filled a Whitman folder of Ikes from my last haul (200 coins in homemade rolls) - nothing noteworthy but it was fun. One of the banks assures me they can order Ikes so we'll see

I figured I'd hoard the Ikes if, for no other reason, they're obsolete. Wizard coin supply has "The Coin Collector Album" for Eisenhower dollars on sale for $5 so I made an order.

Does anyone have experience with that brand album?

Well I should have looked before I posted.

Earle covered it hear.

LOL - I read this AFTER I had seen the review thread I posted.

The Eisenhower Wizard album was one of the ones I bought, and I like it.

I also have the Roosevelt, Washington quarter, JFK, and Jeffersons. initially these were bought to get my coins out of PVC 3-ring binder pages they had been in for years. It was inexpensive and faster than trying to get them all into 2X2s. I eventually want to get the coins out of anything having cardboard in it. The inexpensive price on these albums made it so I did not mind buying them while knowing they probably would not be the permanent home for my stuff.
