Eight rolls - filled a Whitman folder except for '71-P. Otherwise nothing special.

A pic of the half, well, multiple pics, can be found on the PCGS forums;

Since following this thread I've tried to get a bag of Ikes. My local banks flat refused to even speak to me about it. I spoke with the vault manager at a bank account I maintain in TX, letting him know that someone else was recently successful in getting a bag of Ikes, and I sent the website link from a few pages back. FWIW, here is his response: I've taken a look at the public areas of the Fed website. The actual ordering screen banks use is in a non-public-access area of the website. On that order form, there is no option to order Ikes. Any "dollar coin" orders are filled with the SBA, Sacs, or President dollars. We can ship Ikes to the Fed, but only in the $1,000 increments as listed on the public website. I don't know of any bank that has actually done so, because they are so few and far between. There are always customers who want to buy Ikes, so they simply don't build up enough to ship out. The Fed policy is to take the Ikes out of circulation as they are received. If a bank got Ikes from the Fed, it was a "somebody knows somebody" situation, or a Fed employee made a mistake. I can order any other coin you wish. I would caution you that the Dallas Fed's supply of halves is fairly limited, and with so many folks ordering them to pick through and return, collectors are just going through the same bags over and over. I would imagine that the supply and turnover on the smaller coins would keep that from being a problem with Qs on down. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to place an order.

ThisIsFun, they have to contact the supplier and specify they want the dollar coin order fulfilled as large dollars. Trouble is finding a bank willing to do that.

wonder if they are pulling the Ike's not from the fed, but from some sitting at the armored carriers vault before they were shipped to the fed. I don't know, but what ThisIsFun said is pretty much what I was told by all the banks I asked,

hmmmmm kind of like I said maybe just from the carriers vault. Wouldn't you think that it would be bagged differently if it came from the fed?

Loomis handles the federal storage, they won the contract, from what I understand, so anything that "comes" from the fed would be bagged/wrapped/etc'ed by Loomis.
