They didn't try very hard... nothing this week, I pushed harder this time, maybe next week? A bit of a letdown.

Yep same here, no luck she didnt ask though. I also pushed harder, she said she will email them about it. I'm saying my chances are 50/50. For some reason I think she orders all coin through her main branch, and not directly through the armored car company. We will see.

did end up with 14 dollars of ike's today from a teller that was saving them till I came in, I love it that I am getting them trained, and 4 halves nothing good but next time...... you never know, and I will never let on that I don't what anything they want to save for me.

The manager of my bank, who I am really good friends with, thinks she can get them. She grew up with somebody that works in the regional Dunbar office (their money supplier) and she thinks she can get it done for me. I had been holding off trying because I don't have the funds to put out for a $1000 box all at once, but my manager friend said I can buy them up little by little if and when she gets them in. Wouldn't take me more than a couple of days, because I have plenty of people that will buy the ones I don't want. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Well no luck for me I'm thinking. I'm 100% sure my one teller orders mondays, and I am 99% sure if she would of got them ordered she would of called me to tell me. So she either forgot or no luck.
Iv got one more bank branch in my network of pick ups to ask. I also have an assistant manager at a bank I dump at occassionally, been meaning to get over there anyway to find out about dumping bags of halves, may ask him as he knows alot about coins, and has had some good silver scores before, just gotta tell him not to break the seal on my bag if he sees some morgans in there...HAHA

I dropped by one today, she said if they get them, they'll be there next Tuesday. Fingers crossed... I told her to order at least $1k and if she has to order more, I'll take up to $5k in one go.

FTB, how exactly did they order them? Why would some banks be able to and others not be able to? Is it some paperwork they don't want to do?

Extra work to order them. Ike bag done.
80 to be looked over later, going to go through and pull the nicest 50 or so and toss the rest back.
5 lowballs... '71 in AG, '71-D in AG, '72-D in F12, 2 '76 T2's in VFish.
8 T1 bicentennials.
3 '72 T2's... one of which is very, very badly damaged. Cleaned to heck on the front, glue and some kind of ash residue on the reverse. Signed the obverse, "This is a T2. :(" and tossed it back in the bag lol. I wouldn't usually mark such an elusive coin, but this one is so beat it's not worth anything over face at all. On the other hand, the other two T2's were nice... one is a solid AU coin, the other a lower-grade MS coin, I'd say 62.
1 '71-D FEV. AU55 or so.
3 Proofs. '73, '76 and '78. All impaired or damaged. The '73 was hanging with the '72 T2 I marked and tossed back... clearly in a fire and was glued to something. There was about 25 coins like that in the bag. The '76 has some corrosion on the obverse.
A lone '73-P. NIFC, keeper.
And the best thing in the bag wasn't even an Ike, or a dollar coin for that matter. A double-broadstruck '86-P half.
They're going to order me a bag every week.
