Haha, you're gonna have to do your own legwork on that one, bro.
Wish I could find a bank around here that still uses Brinks/Dunbar, I'd love to get some of their halves since I know neither has many, if any, bank contracts any more.

I know I need to just call them and see what happens. I finally saw them in a small credit union parking lot. To check, I Went in to the credit union for 5 rolls of dimes and quarters, got cwr...lol... Visit 2 I got nothing(no account), finally visit 3 I got brinks clear, so they must have been doing a vendor drop when I saw them.
So I saw on the other board, you save type 1 1976? Why do you save those?
Iv been through about 1000$ in ikes and only found 1 type 1, peg leg R.

Figured I'd share my own experience, even if it's a bit dated. Back in 2009 I purchased two bags of large dollars and over the course of those, I found I think about 30-40 BU ikes, 4 silver ikes, I think around 9 ASE bullion, and 2 Peace dollars. What I love the most is I sold the rest on ebay for much more than face value. As I'm just getting into the hobby again after a 3 year hiatus and recently moved, I should give it another shot!

That certainly sounds promising. So I guess the armored car companies just keep them in storage for the banks since there is not much demand for them. I will definitely have to call the two companies in my area.

So, whether or not they will/can order ikes depends on the supplier?

Let me get this straight: you can order Ikes from the FRB and get it sent to your house?

No, the fed only deals with financial institutions. You have to deal with your bank.

Hoping for a bag soon, my one teller orders tommorrow, she is gonna ask specifically for eisnehowers, we will see. I dont have high hopes.
She asked if I knew the amount, I told her 1000$ bags, and they are available on the fed sight, dont know what else I can do,but try the next bank .

Did you get these bags yet fade?
As I figured my one bank didnt call me yesterday about them, so I doubt she got them. I even told her they are 1000$ bags, and she may have have to ask specifically, and tell whoever she orders from to double check, or hit zero if her orders are automated to speak to someone.
