I swear I have seen this exact same auction a year or two ago, some one from New York I think. Thought it ridiculous then to sell as one big lot instead of breaking it up. Makes me agree with scubu, hijacked account, nothing actually for sale.

The seller has only been a member since '08, but the listing touts "6 years of flawless feedback"

Quote: I would say there is about 197 1 dollar silver certificates from the 30's and 50's there, so I am sure there is at least 219 old currency bills 158 silver certificates $1 and 61 larger sizes over $1. If there are 197 ones and 219 total, that only leaves 22 larger denominations.

Put it on my watch list to see what some goof ball pays for it. I sell items on ebay and listings like this tick me off.

I am outbid at $3000.00 ... If it does not get sold because of the hijacked account idea, I still think it will get terribly high bidding but I did what most people did and saw lots more than is actually there in my estimates. I am almost embarrassed at my guess but then wasn't that the plan of the seller? ( fake seller or not ) The main totals I come up with were the 500.00 bill, the national currency of 170.00 the other currency at probably 350.00, the cash register that is probably worth 6 or 7 hundred, the gold that is worth about 4 or 5 hundred and the silver and other coins that is worth probably 1500 to 2000 bucks. The rest would be gravy. Then the rolled cigarette is actually a flute. But yes, I bet this same exact auction did list sometime back. I have not looked yet today to see where it's at but it wouldn't surprise me if it is shut down.

looks like 1 large mess to me the way its being set up, looking like collection is way larger than it appears to be, then I see a 2005 proof set ha! and lots of useless foreign coins in the mix looks pretty in a picture so a picture is worth a 1000 words thats what id give for this 1000 words

We'll see.... Quote: I think this may need some investigation into a possible hijacked account. No activity for almost 2 years, and then mostly very low dollar items(99ยข). Thanks for looking!

It's amazing how, in those photos of the spread out currency, you can only find Washington peeping out from between the larger denominations and not actually on top of anything.
