1884-O ~ (Is This Worth Sending To ANACS?)

Here is another Morgan from my not-so-junk junk silver, this is a 1884o that looks like a vam-16 (I counted the denticles from liberty to the end of the 4 in the date as shown on VAM World), and this coin also has what looks like a die scratch or gouge inside the ribbon...

Please advise if this is worth certification or should go back in the melt pile... High Resolution photos can be emailed for closer examination...

Hard to advise anyone for "going to the melt pile", what a beautiful coin IMO. I'm not much of a Vammer, but from a certification standpoint I would say no. It's such a tough call as there is no right or wrong answer, only opinions. In my opinion, I'd keep her! She looks to be in decent shape.

In my opinion, it doesn't look like a 'very far date' as in vam-16.
I think it just a 'Far Date'.
Try matching the Mintmark with plate photo on VAMWorld.
