On review, perhaps a slightly higher grade.

The amount of detail on the high points in the shield on the reverse I think hold it back a little. By the same token, the leaves on the wreath of George are not too bad.

VF. My catalogue value for full VF is 50 Pounds.

The detail shows up MUCH more clearly in the close ups.

I will leave it for someone else to grade.

My catalogue values for this coin are:
F 15 pounds
VF 50 pounds
EF 300 pounds
Unc/Bu 550 pounds

thanks Sel_69I
There is no damage on the rim, coin wasn't cleaned and high spots aren't worn. I would say EF.
Please any opinions.
Thank you

VF+ - aEF
wear on the lions and harp in the shield and also the crown.
olive leaves on the obverse lack some detail.
But still a really nice coin

That is a really nice coin and personally I would just keep it.

i know, but I was collecting world coins for a while(I'm 26 years old only) and I've got in love with Greek coins. I don't have money to spend on them (Got merried :D ) so the only way to buy some more Greeks is to say good bye to my british coins..

Lenikas: My very first Greek coin was a gold stater of Philip 11 of Macedon.
Not knowing much about Greek coins at the time, I went to the dealer at time with the best reputation: Spinks in London.
I have an acquaintance in Sydney who was their Australian agent. The coin came through him. That was in 1975. I still have it. I still have all of the sales documentation and photographs to prove it.

Even now, I still have a huge amount to learn about Greek coinage.

That coin came along two years after I married. I still have my wife (bless her!) as well. That ain't bad! Score: two out of two!
