The Mint store on Granville Street in Vancouver BC was taking orders for one coin per customer on Monday. A few days ago, they told customers they would have stock on Monday. So a line up of about 20 people were there at opening time. Some people were there at 6:00 am. It turned out you did not really have to line up so early as they were taking orders throughout the day. Somone on another forum mentioned they had a quota of 100 coins. So they are likely gone by now.
They took your name and phone number and said they would call when stock arrived.

Just spoke to Canada post and they tell me bumble bee coin delayed until May 1st

Thanks Rockdaddy22 for the update.
Both the glass and painted bees, the dino (also pushed to May 1st), and the grosbeak are all over due. And of course the Titanic 50 cent that is supposed to ship today after being delayed two weeks despite having been available from Canada Post since April 5th.
It would seem that 'late' is the new standard.

is it just me or is anyone else getting tired of the mint taking our money and then shipping them in a couple of months time? Seeing all the shipping times for the latest batch of coins is just reminding me that the lovely titanic coins and Queens Emblem 50 cent piece still have not arrived let alone been shipped...
pardon my rant but when you order something, it'd be nice to get it in the same quarter

Do the RCM really take your money? They usually bill my credit card a day or two before the ship the coins I order! |
