I have called all the banks and none have any. I can order from the mint but it will cost $50 plus the 25 dollars in pennies.

Spent an hour so far. Called 6 banks and only one told me to call The bank of Canada. They told me to call the mint so I did. The mint told me to call my bank. The bank once again told me to call the mint. So called the Ottawa mint. They told me to call the Winnipeg mint so I did. Kind guy gave me a phone number to order currency orders so I did. They were unavailable so I left a message and hope to get a call today. I better get a call. If this does not work out how did you guys order them? Scotiabank and CIBC will not let me order 2012.

There was a line of purchasers at the mint, three rolls per household. I'm confident they will release K's of boxes to the banks, they are obligated to do so. The 'budget' stipulates that September is the deadline for production. They must continue producing, using up old stock and honouring contracts. This is why there are mags and non-mags. Should they not honour contractual arrangements, then the demise of the penny will be quite expensive.
This is all I know.

Called the bank and she says she can't specifically order a specific date. Got transfered to customer service and no one was there.

Not to sound rude or anything, but with all the time/effort/calling why not buy swrbxxx rolls for around 10 dollars? unless your buying in a large quantity? will they really go up that much in value?

I want a few rolls just to have them. I dont want to pay $10 when the price might go down to $3 as others say.

An online dealer has it for $1.95 a roll. I grabbed some when I bought something else to average out the shipping.

I will not settle unless it is face value. I never pay more for a circulating coin for more than face value. It is supposed to be made until fall so that is a lot of time to get coins put out there.

I bet starting next year RCM will issue pennies in special wrapping rolls with 5 limits per order.

I hope not... starting next year RCM will issue pennies in special wrapping rolls. just end the penny and be done so we can finish our penny folders! That would be a pain-in-but, to need to order RCM special issue pennies every year to keep filling empty folder holes...
