The mintage is 7,000 total - subscriptions and individual combined.

@commems would you please share the source where you are able to confirm 7,000 total - subscriptions and individual combined? I always heard there will be a total of 7000+7000 (double counts will be not only for this coin but for others issued by RCM with seperated subscriptions and individual orders). Please advice, many thanks!

The mintage number is always the total number of coins MINTED. If all the sets the coins come in were broken up and the coins removed, how many coins total there would be. In this case, 7000.

I just checked and saw that the Mint has added an order for the 2nd coin to my subscription on July12, and marked it as shipped July 14. There is no tracking number though, and I am still waiting for the 1st coin and case.

Koin Hunter, I know it's wrong but somehow I feel a bit relief that I am not alone on this... Maybe I need treatment :)

BTW, does the description of your 2nd coin says "2012 Canada $20 9999Ag - Group of Seven - Lismer- Fishing Village Die Cut"?

What is "Die Cut"?

Shopaholic...yes mine says the same...die cut...I think...but not 100 percent sure...but it's to do with the lettering...other coins have said this also..
Maybe the hold up with the first coin has to do with the display case problems..
I never get shipping notices or tracking #...I always order from my MC contact...that way he gets a little kickback for my orders.

Just got three subscription coins in the mail. The second coin looks better in hand than in the photos. It especially looks good next to the first coin. The mint never sent an email, just arrived all of a sudden like.

Yes, sent xpresspost with signature. The coins were numbered in the 4000's. Looks good so far. I hope the other coins look as good.

Thank you thank you! No one was home today, without a tracking number I wouldn't know if the parcel was lost (that happened before). Good to know it requires signature. :)
Rest in Peace

I got one of mine in the mail today (7/16) too. I noticed however, despite being 99.99% silver, I was charged sales tax. I've been charged tax on coins before, but 'pure gold or silver' were always exempt...has this changed?

Nope. It should be GST/HST exempt.

Thanks for the heads up, I got charged tax too. I guess if you don't call them that you noticed their mistake they get to pocket the tax. This is not the first time this has happened. So they cant call it a mistake anymore, they are already aware of the problem. Now it is either fraud or incompetence.
