Whenever I stop at my local bank branch, I always ask if they have any "interesting" coins on hand. Every once in awhile I get a SBA dollar or a Kennedy half, but that's about it.

This time, though, I thought to ask if they had any "old" currency lying around. The teller (who was probably in her 20s) perked right up and said that she actually just got a very old bill in if I'd like to have it. I asked her what it was and she said it was a very worn $10 from the 1980s.

Man, that makes me feel old...
Rest in Peace

I resemble that remark. When I was young in the 80' the old bills were 1930's & 1950's. Sigh is right.

I wish I was old and could say I spent attractive bills, that had value. I am only 19 and have grown up with ugly big faces and monopoly money. I barely remember having small faces because when I was young enough for them to be around, I did not have much money.

I remember as a child, my grandmother used to give us Franklin half dollars every time we visited her. Sigh, if I only kept a couple.

Yeah, that can be a disappointment, when someone that young, thinks the 80s are old.
