Are the Susan B Anthony dollars supposed to have a copper colored band on the edge (like a quarter)?
Just wondering, because I found one that is gold colored, yet lighter than most, that has a copper colored band -

Are you referring to the Susan B Anthony or the Sacagawea? The SBA's are clad just like quarters, so I suppose they could have the copper band showing just like the quarters do. On the other hand, I've never seen a Sacagawea coin that was worn from actually being used.

I actually have a Sacagawea that has the copper core visible on the edge. This is quite common. Now if you have a golden SBA, then that is a different story.
