Bought 10 two loons and 5 lucky loonie, two loons should be the winner, waiting for the $1 stampede silver coin.

50$ stampede is $$$, for 5 oz of silver its not a bargain....i got 1 two loons, I think they are very nice and will do pretty well, but still with a mintage of 10K, I wouldn't imagine high $$$$ after sale

Pretty upset the 4th Niobium is sold out already but that must be a mistake. I was tempted to get the Jubilee series but there are way too many.

Since the niobium was part of a sold out subscription, I suspect that there were relatively few of the individual coins available.
That said, the dealers likely have most of them since they know that if you bought any of the first three, you'll have to come to them for the 4th.
Of course, Canada Post will be the best place to look for the pink one - I know my local PO has them on order. And they will at least be offering issue price.
Maybe this indicated that the series will start to appreciate. They are very nice coins but for some reason, they have not been doing all that well in the secondary market. Probably because they are small and people have never heard of niobium.
I received the advance notice e-mail this morning. The newest coins will be announced to general public on May 22.

Ordered 2 Two Loons and 2 Lucky Loonies. The lucky loonie is overpriced, but I think it's a better value than previous similar offerings? Disappointed the niobium coin was sold out. Anybody know which Canada Post in and around Vancouver would sell them? TIA

Mrpiedfort, you can order the niobium on Canada Post website in near future, or you can buy it from the Mint store on Granville Street, I think they will have it very soon.

Thanks guys, for the advice. I have the first three niobium coins, I don't want to miss out on the last one. If this trend continues, I might be buying alot of my coins from Canada Post.

I hear you Mr.P. Been a MC member for more than a decade and never bought anything from Canada Post in the past. This year I've gotten a half dozen coins from them. Why? They have the supply, package their coins well for travel and they have fast and free shipping. If the mint is sold out, it is the place to look.
As for the lucky loonie, my records show:
2004 $39.95 mintage 19,994 .925Ag 6.475g 2006 $39.95 mintage 19,973 .925Ag 6.475g 2008 $49.95 mintage 52,987 .925Ag 6.475g 2010 $54.95 mintage 13,285 .925Ag 6.475g
The 2012 LL is .9999Ag fine silver and weights 7.89g. It's a relative bargain even with a 20k mintage.

I predict this design will not do well. A bad design can kill a coin. I think the 2010 is ugly personally and I guess so do many other people. You can get them for $30-$40 on ebay. That's pretty bad for a coin that sold for $55 from the mint. My recommendation is this bird wont fly, pick it up for less off ebay in a couple years.
