This thing has blinding purple black mirrow glossy toning that I do not think photography can bring to light. Wanted to share it anyway:)

How do you think this proof would grade?

61 nickels tone nice and blue. I have one myself that I may get encapsulated at some future date. Your piece is a nice PR-66.

Do you think it is worth slabbing this one?

I like slabbing beautiful and unusual coins even if I feel that there is no market for them at the present. In that respect, I'd say yes. You can likely buy these on ebay for $15 or so dollars when they come around- but in the future many of them will be ruined or so deeply toned as to be unattractive. I like your piece- and I am sending my 1961 proof nickel in later this month- it's probably a PR-66 or PR-67 (like yours)...

Very nice proof. I would say it would grade around PRF-66.

If you go through a dealer, you might be able to get a discount on the slab cost.
