Going through my ebay won Jefferson nickel album 1938-2003 I've spotted a hopeful 1943-P DDO...I can take close-ups, but, I don't know if my camera can grab the serifs I see(will try my scope, and post tommorow)..if anyone has a link to this one, so I can try and match up the pics, feel free to let me know...pretyy decent serifs on: S in TRUST(upper serif), both upper serifs of last T in TRUST, both upper arms of Y in LIBERTY, and, left base, the Star is not showing a perfect serif, but, is quite mis-shappen, leading me in direction of doubled, and, the 4 & 3 have promising areas of notching, minor...not sure if this all may be just standard die-related notching or not(most of my 1940's 5c always have a serif in the upper serif in S in TRUST, leading me to the conclusion, at least that letter, it's the die, and not a DDO notch..correct me if I'm wrong here)

I negelected to mention..a few things NOT in my favor for FS-106. at least....NO doubling @ eye, and, no doubling on 4 & 3 to right, as shown in Cherry Pickers Guide..kinda talking myself out of this one....could be another die state though....

I am not familiar with this DDO. Please attempt to post some clear images.
A link or image of another example would be helpful too for others to learn about the variety. Thanks.

NickelGuy..this is the Cherrypickers FS-106(FS-05-1943P-106 (029), page 310, 5th Ed., Vol I...I am no expert on these but, have enough DDO experience(coppercoin cent DDO / DDR hunting) to know there can be many similar Dies with mirror-doubling, some less...I would assume this 106 is the big one, and, anything less would fall into the "minor DDO" lists.
This Heritage Listing shows all the doubling on a monster MS67..

I just looked Coneca Listings...they state 23 DDO's for the 1943-P, and, a Master Die listing, which is probably what I have(Dr. Wiles is the Head Attributer for Coneca)...I'll have to read up on die markers for the other 22 to see if I get lucky...had no idea so many for the year/mint...lots of DDR's too, and, 1 combo DDO / DDR, which would be a sweet find. The doubled eyelids for the FS-106 makes for an easy marker...as stated, my coin does not have this, so that DDO is out.

Coincidentally, I am expecting a coin in the next couple days to arrive in the mail that I am also hopeful about. I may have cherry picked one on ebay.
These two images are not the coin I am waiting on but they are from a well struck high grade coin with defined images of what we both are looking for on ours. Mine will certainly be in a lower grade and strike quality.

Here are a couple of different coins from heritage. Looks like the clash mark is common for these, but not always there on earlier examples. Most I spotted there had the clash:
