That is a definite nay. I don't know why people have so much difficulty with this. When I first started collecting small cents the common term for a 70S small date was level 7 as in the 7 was level with the 0. Easy peasy.

Oh no! This isn't good. I think I officially just lost trust in my absolute favorite dealer.

Please tell me you aren't serious! Here they are side by side... I don't know now! I surely see a difference, but I also don't see it as small as some of the other photos.

If this isn't a small date, I have officially lost trust in the, trustworthy or so I thought dealer I have spent a great deal of time and money with!

As far as a "SD repository", I wish we could collect all the small dates found in circulation--just as a recognition of their finds. It's impossible to do a search and filter out the LDs from the SDs.

Thanks papatony! Glare happens to be my specialty. Actually was still in the cello from the mint set.

I spoke to the dealer, he admitted to pulling the wrong coin by accideny after I chose it out of an album he had.

He is refunding me and giving me the real small date.

Sorry JoeTurbo, I didn't see this till just now. Sounds like your dealer was trying to take advantage of your small date handicap.
