I'm not sure what you might be seeing. All I see are zillions of circulation hits and bag marks. Also not seeing what the O might be showing other than PMD.

The right side of the O doesn't connect proper it hooks lower than the left side. Lol how anybody couldnt see it gets me

I agree with Moxking. This coin has taken a lot of hits! IMHO, The "O" took a nice hit, looks to me as the metal has been pushed in towards the center of it.

With all the random pictures and no descriptions(great focus, BTW what camera did you use?), it isn't that no one could see what you see, it is that everyone was looking for an actual error, not damage. lol

Circulation/parking lot damage altered the devices. It looked normal when it was struck. Just damaged now. Just a normal damaged coin.

There are a couple of hits on the columns that have the same shape as the disconnected O top. Alas this coin is a common date as such is not a keeper, find an elongated coin machine and make it a memory. That is exactly what I do with trashed pre 82 Lincolns. I also take more than I need to give them to any body at the machine that's needs a copper. No I don't smash any key dates or most wheats.
