I can not wait for your site to lauch!

I have a close friend who moved to France about two years ago. He lives in Loches. Lucky guy...I hear that is an absolutely gorgeous place. Whereabouts in France do you hail from? Visiting France is on my list of things to do. Got any suggestions as to what I should see when I go there?

Obviously I'm not from France, but I have visited several times. I'm not a big fan of Paris (too expensive and to me the Parisians seemed snooty), although there are a lot of things one should probably see there. My favorite places are Vernon and Giverny west of Paris about an hour by train, Normandy, and Provence (great Roman ruins in this area). Regardless what you hear about France, with the exception of Paris, I found the French people to be very friendly and helpful (and I don't speak French).

I can't quite recall which knowledgeable, yet soft-spoken CCF-member posted the following comment, but I totally agree with him!!
