Hey everyone!

I wanted to throw this out to the masses to see if anyone can help to identify my coin. What I do know is that it was minted in 1880 in the US. It resembles a typical Morgan dollar for the time period on the face side with the liberty head and font for the wording. However on the other side, it has a very unique design that I have not been able to uncover online.
To note, on the crown, there is the typical "Liberty" written and in latin on the coin is written "E Pluribus Unum" - again, typical of a Morgan dollar.
The only bad part about the coin is that someone at some point attempted to make this into a necklace by the half drilled hole that is noticeable. Also the pictures aren't the best (we took them really quickly this morning).
Anyone have any idea as to what coin this is exactly? Is this a variation of an 1880 Morgan dollar? Anyone have an idea on value even?

Thanks!

It looks like a love token, and a well done one at that. It did not come out of the mint this way, but was crafted after the fact. I would say there is definantly a premium over a typical Morgan dollar.

It also looks like it was made into a pin.

there are allot of Love Token collectors out there. They can sometimes bring more money than a coin of the same date if someone wants those initials. I have collected some for each family member of my family and the two and three letters that match someones name is really hard to find. I recently found one with BR initials on a Seated dime and purchased it because it was my initials
