Sounds like a good time Denny going through Silver Dollars. Death Dollar #1 has a nice reverse, and a cameo Obv, some hairlines, Looks PL 1953 some PMD on the date on reverse, or weak strike, check for die cracks on obverse Death Dollar #2 Nice coin, some chatter and bag marks on obverse, reverse is nice. Nice to see some raw dollars. Great photos. Thanks.

You are right SD going through tubes of silvers is what we all live for I think. These 3 were the best out of 2 tubes I went through this afternoon. I think your assessment is bang on. I think its PMD on that 1953 date and there are no die cracks on the obverse. The fields on that first DD make me believe it was PL but maybe released into circulation. I also found a real nice 1949 dollar he put aside which I'll try to post pics later. Lots of silver halves next, and I'm mean lots.

Wouldn't it be nice if your dad lived in the 1890`s or something, there needs to be a roll of that era of coins sitting around somewhere... All in the condition of those nice dollars you posted... To make them worth more you should clean them because that is really good for coins, your dad wants you to clean them.

I work at a Walmart and we get our rolled coins from Brinks so it's almost guaranteed we don't get silver in our rolls. :( But the other day I popped open a roll of quarters and there was a 1968 Silver 25 Cent and a 25 Cent Casino Niagara token inside. LOL I accidentally put it in my customers hand and LITERALLY GRABBED IT BACK out of his hands and chuckled and gave him the excuse that it was foreign. I'm desperate LOL

Denny7000, those are some beautiful silver dollars/half dollars!
And Hokaia, impressive finds in circulation! I very rarely come across birds series notes and have once heard of a coworker receiving a 1973 issue $1 bill. Congratulations!

That one came from someone's collection... They wanted a beer badly enough that they cut them from a roll of 6. I get mostly world coins than anything else!
