Just to throw a monkey wrench into the works....how about 5051505? Is this a 3 digit radar repeater?

Page 386 and 368 of 25th eidtion of Charlton GPM

N10-iii - Four Digit Cycle radar.
N1-iii - Radar Notes Three or Four Digit.

So the classification would be 4 digit cycle repeater-3 digit radar

The four digit repeating cycle would be 5051 (four digits). For radar the three digits are 5, 0, and 1. For repeater the number of digits are constituted by the cycle that is created and for radars the number of digits are constituted by the presence of unique digit regardless of position.

The price of 5051505 obviously would be governed by the higher of the two conditions i.e. the value of the radar.

At the end I think it all depends on what people are willing to pay for the notes.

For the purpose of discussion 5051505 could be sold at a much higher premium than radar or repeater because someone who reads it as SOS | SOS and may consider it to have a higher value.

I never thought about the SOS thing, I have to admit. Well thought out post Paisa. I called a 3 digit simply because there's 3 digits. Something to think about for sure.

Thank you for your kind words. The thing I think that would be the coolest is if the prefix was GOD (They purposely left it out in the Bird Series so I am told) and then 5050505 - two digit radar , four digit cycle repeater.

Read it as:

GOD Save our Souls OH Save Our Souls.

No offence meant to those who doe not believe in GOD. You can substitute it with APE or ALE or ALL

I'm entirely new to collecting and I'm pretty sure this is a repeater of some kind but I recently received a $100 with the serial number FKE2422442. This would be considered a repeater correct? Thanks in advance for any and all feedback!

lobotomist: You are incorrect.. it's close but not a repeater...the two 4's at the end of the serial make it invalid.

Persistent:

5627562 - Is a 4 digit repeater...

5675670 - NOT a repeater - the zero would have to be another 5 for it to be a 3 digit repeater.. at best it's a second runner up in a beauty contest ..... but no prize!
