2. IAG Auction site had a fantastic area full of wonderful coins that would make anyone drool. They had on display a few items for the next auction, and totally cool coins you could buy. Funny thing is when I said I was taking pics to show on the coin community site, the guy said "who" Things you just had to see. Brockage threepence

Another table had 50c millennium rolled coins, first thing I did was look at the ends for incused ;) But nope, there was one with 2 ends with flags, and the other two were top and tail.

Thanks for the lovely pics Australian coin, and the anecdotes from the ANDA show from various Coin Community Family members. Almost like being there Great find on the 1934 overdated threepenny, Australian coin. Shows that there are still some nice bargains to be had . Squire

Just got home from the ANDA Caulfield day. Had a pretty good time. Had to hold off a bit on the buying, due to the Downies auction coming up, but there was plenty to find. Had a longing look at that wavy 1966 20 - so I can say I've actually seen one up close... Nice notes there, including a $75,000 beauty from pre federation private bank. Attendance was comfortable, had no problems with crowding around tables Those error coins were gorgeous

PP and I went along on Saturday where we were lucky enough to meet Australian Coin and her family. As far as coin buying went we did ok with some nice errors and a smattering of high grade world coins. High grade, problem free Australian material was very hard to find at the show and we didn't buy much. In fact in three days of looking at the show and every coin shop in Melbourne I didn't find one Australian coin for my own collection. It's getting harder and harder to find good Aussie coins.
Attendance at the show was pretty pathetic really, last year I could hardly move at the tables in the first two hours, this time we had the pick of seats wherever we liked.

I went along to the show and had an enjoyable couple of hours there. I ended up buying a last prefix ZLD paper $100 bank note UNC for $340 which was a good deal. Thats cheaper than they are going on ebay. I also bought a first prefix AA 02 $10 note. There were good value notes there. I tend to avoid coins at these shows because they seem to be overpriced.

I decided to go this year, since I'm in Melbourne anyways. I did'nt think too much of it. I went on Saturday, attendance was pretty poor I thought, and did'nt see much selling/buying, more sightseers I guess. IAG had the best quality and display in my opinion. Did'nt end up buying much.
