It is a silver rupee from the Dehli Sultanate, during the Suri Dynasty. The date is actually 959 (AD 1551), making it from the reign of Islam Shah. It's a "mintless" type with the number "1477" at the top of the obverse, a number which nobody seems to be able to explain or interpret.
Here's an example on the zeno.ru database. The type is listed in the Goron & Goenka catalogue of Indian Sultanates coins as number D980, rated as "very common".
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
