This is a topic I can play in :) Without a doubt these are my favourites the Brtish Trade dollars, both Bombay but one of Victoria and one of Edward VII. A Jamaican token issued by Francois Delcois to aid the shortage of small change British Java 1 Rupee Test punches: Malaya 1 cent (Japanese occupation) Brunswick- Luneburg- Hannover 1 pfennig This last one ive never found out the reason for it. I have more too but not photographed yet including a fantastic Hibernia farthing :D

@Mark ... The Chinese chopmarks are Greek to me. I find the last one interesting. What's the story on it? Is that an island stamp?

The Pfennig ? I'm not sure atall what the story behind it is. I had to have it when I seen it though since it does fit into my collection anyway but it's something that I've never gotten to the bottom of, even with the help of some German specialists :(
I love chop marks, I think they're great. The heavily chopped dollar I have just bought, I've forwarded it on to a specialist in chops too that I know from my other one. I'm intrigued to find out what the huge one means in the middle of Britannia !

I'm thinking that PERHAPS, the pfennig's mark might have been applied in someplace that was colonized? A search or study of early, world countermarks might reveal a source for this mark.

Yeah, it's certainly possible. I maybe thought it could have circulated elsewhere in Germany. Like a poorer state even. I'll have to do a little more digging ! I'll post back if I ever find out :)

That counterstamp has the look of a button mold. Here's a pretty one that celebrates Turkey, Texas ... The host is a proof coin. Mel Wacks stamped 200 of these half dollars, and they were issued in postal envelopes.

Just found Louisiana in a bank roll. With my up-thread Florida, now I only have 48 states to go!
